WASTE TO ENERGY
Energy production line modification project (Waste to Energy)
Project description: (France)
Optimising energy recovery
The two oldest incineration lines have been replaced by a new, more efficient incineration line with dry flue gas treatment.
Between 2016 and 2020, a major energy optimisation project will transform the plant into a true energy recovery unit.
Electricity production will increase from 30,000 to 100,000 MWh, thanks to a cogeneration system that allows the plant to choose between electricity and/or heat production according to demand.
A new dry flue gas treatment system has made the plume virtually invisible.
